What is Hemp?

Hemp, or CBD, is a strain of the Cannabis sativa plant species that is grown specifically for the industrial uses of its derived products. Currently, CBD is categorized as a nutritional supplement because it’s not approved as a drug by the FDA. As a supplement, people use CBD for numerous reasons, such as reduction of anxiety and management of depression, insomnia, Crohn’s disease, arthritis, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, chronic pain and autism, among others.
